Kenneth O'Reilly
Kenneth O’Reilly was born in New York City, and after studying American history he received a Ph.D. from Marquette University. His other books include Nixon’s Piano: Presidents and Racial Politics from Washington to Clinton, and Racial Matters: The FBI’s Secret File on Black America, a New York Times notable book of the year. Mr. O’Reilly has received honors and awards from the Gustavus Myers Center for the Study of Human Rights, the Fund for Investigative Journalism, the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt Institute, the Lyndon B. Johnson Foundation, the American Philosophical Society, and the Harry S. Truman Library Institute. He is emeritus professor of history at the University of Alaska, Anchorage, and now teaches at the Milwaukee Area Technical College. He lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
